Notice

The Regional Director-General, for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2015-010, closing the following areas to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, all whelks and bay scallops: 

All waters within 3 km of the coastlines and islands of:

The Maritimes Region eastern portion of  Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island including the Bras d’Or Lake and the counties of Guysborough, Richmond, Victoria, Inverness, and Cape Breton Regional Municipality.
