EPSONDE - Matlab Files: This page contains links to Matlab toolboxes
that we have developed. Questions and comments to
Blair Greenan. Temperature-Salinity PlotThe tsplot toolbox builds on the tsdiagram function found in the Oceans toolbox at the Woods Holes Oceanographic Institution. You can produce TS plots using either a command line function (tsdiagram) or a Graphical User Interface (tsplot). A screen shot of the GUI displays the interface and results of the program. Note: Version 1.1 of tsplot now available (21-Dec-1998). Download

Matlab-MSAccess LinkThe msquery toolbox enables you to transfer the results of a query in the Microsoft Access database program directly into your Matlab workspace using MS Windows ActiveX technology. The columns headings from the Access query are parsed and assigned as the variable names of the appropriate columns in your Matlab workspace. Download the toolbox and type msquery at the Matlab command prompt to start. Note: 07-Dec-2001 - now compatible with MATLAB 6. Download

Colorbar for Filled Contour PlotsUnfortunately Matlab's version of colorbar is not appropriate for use with filled contour plots. If you would like to be able to add a colorbar to your filled contour plot download the colorbarf m-file. An example of using this is:
z=peaks; Note: Version 1.5 is now available (08-Mar-2001). Now compatible with MATLAB 6. Floating Axis PlotThe floatAxisX m-file enables you to plot parameters with different units (eg. temperature, salinity and density versus depth) on the same axes having the x-axis for the parameters "floating" below. FloatAxisY plots floating axes on the left-hand side of the plot. The number of parameters plotted is not limited. Here are two examples of figures produced using floatAxisX and floatAxisY. A script to demonstrate the use of the floatAxis m-file has been included in the download. Just unzip the file and type ctdplotx or ctdploty at the Matlab command prompt. Note: Version 1.2 is now available (6-Mar-2000). This new version corrects a problem with axis limits on the axis that is not floating. The safest way to plot is to always explicitly specify the x and y limits. Download
